Aspin Kemp & Associates (“AKA”) is a systems integration company specializing in developing, applying, managing, supporting and maintaining engineering solutions primarily in the marine and offshore oil and gas industries. With headquarters in Owen Sound, Ontario, Canada, AKA operates internationally with offices in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia; Stratford, Prince Edward Island; Houston, Texas and Singapore. AKA PEI is our centre for engineering, testing, fabrication and manufacturing of electrical power and control systems.
In 2007, AKA teamed up with XeroPoint Energy, a PEI-based renewable energy development company, to design, build, and install a hybrid power generation and control system for Foss Maritime. As a result, the world’s first hybrid tug boat was launched in January 2009.

What We Do
Our considerable experience in the marine and industrial engineering environments allows AKA to offer a wide range of design engineering and technical support services to manage large scale projects from concept to completion. We provide lead project management and technical resources for multi-million dollar projects. We also operate in a sub-contractor role, taking on a particular aspect of a project and assisting our client in the successful delivery of that project.
